Thirukkoodaloor (The Place of Gathering)
• The name Thirukkoodaloor (Koodal + oor, meaning the town where they gathered) stems from the incident where all the Devas (heavenly beings), led by Nandhaga Maharishi, assembled (koodi)3 at this spot to receive the Prathyaksham (divine vision) of Sriman Narayanan.4
