1. The Source of Salagrama Stones
   The Moolavar, Sri Moorthy Perumal, is worshipped as a large, self-manifested Salagrama stone (a fossilized ammonite shell found primarily in the Kali Gandaki River).
   • Divine Transformation: According to the Purana, the Lord promised that the stones found here would embody Him. Every Salagrama stone is therefore considered a natural, aniconic representation of Lord Vishnu and is highly prized for daily worship.
2. The Place of Liberation (Mukthinath)
   • Muktinath: The name Muktinath translates to “Lord of Salvation” (Mukti = liberation, Nath = Lord). This shrine is believed to be the place where one attains Moksham (liberation) from the cycle of birth and death, making it the ultimate destination for Hindus.
   • Chakra Pushkarini (108 Spouts): The temple complex features 108 water spouts (representing the 108 Divya Desams) from which cold water flows continuously. Pilgrims traditionally bathe under these spouts to cleanse themselves of sins.
